Have a go β pick a result
Every match is worth 21 points, split between the outcomes by the bookmakers' real odds. Safe picks pay pennies β shocks pay big. Go on, pick one.
Beat the market, not the maths
Points mirror the real odds, so every pick in a match is worth the same on average. Blindly backing favourites gets you an average score β only genuine judgement climbs the table.
Play with your people
Everyone competes in the overall Sofa Pundits table, and you can create a private league for friends, family or the office β share one code and you're all on the same leaderboard.
Live "as it stands" drama
Scores tick through in real time and the table moves with them while matches are on. Nothing is final until full time β every late goal swings the leaderboard.
The money column
A just-for-fun column shows what Β£1 (or β¬1) on each of your picks would have returned at the real odds. Points decide the game β the money column decides who buys the drinks.

How it works
The game
Pick the result of every Premier League and/or Ligue 1 match β home win, draw or away win. Picks lock at each match's kickoff. Get it right and you score the points shown on that outcome; get it wrong and you score nothing. Highest points total over the season wins. That's it β everything else is detail.
The scoring β beat the bookies
Every match is worth 21 points, shared between the three outcomes in proportion to the real bookmaker odds (we take the middle price across the UK books). Likely results pay little; shocks pay a lot.
Example β Arsenal at home to a promoted side:
An even game splits roughly 6β8β7. And here's the clever bit: because points follow the odds exactly, every pick in a match is worth the same on average. Blindly backing favourites gets you an average score β no better. The only way to climb is to disagree with the bookies and be right. Back your judgement.
Prices & timing
Points on offer update as the betting market moves β daily, plus a final check about an hour before each kickoff β then freeze at kickoff. What you see when the match starts is what a correct pick pays, forever. During matches, scores tick through live and the table moves with them "as it stands" β nothing is final until full time.
Forget to pick?
You still play: the computer gives you a random pick β but it only pays 80% of the points. Autopilot can never beat turning up, so set your picks each week. Auto-picks are marked on your fixtures and counted on the table.
Leagues
Everyone automatically competes in the overall Sofa Pundits table. On top of that, anyone can create a private league and share its invite link or 6-letter code β friends, family, the office. One set of picks counts in every league you join; only the leaderboard company changes.
Tables, graphs & the money columns
The Premier League and Ligue 1 are scored as separate competitions β their points are never added together. Flip the Table between the whole Season and any single Gameweek (weekly bragging rights), and the Graph between the season race and week-by-week form. The graph's dashed lines are three robots β always-favourite, always-draw, always-underdog β the pack to beat.
The Β£1 / β¬1 bets column is just for fun: what you'd be up or down if you'd staked Β£1 (or β¬1 in France) on each of your picks at the real odds. The game is decided on points β but it shows who'd actually be buying the drinks.

League table
The bets columns are illustrative: as if you'd staked Β£1 on each Premier League pick and β¬1 on each Ligue 1 pick, at the market odds (median across the bookmakers we track, frozen at kickoff). The game is decided on points β this shows what the real world would have paid.
